Before 1279, the Světví settlement was owned by the Světlá monastery. Other owners were the Rožmberk family and gentlemen from Michnice. The gentlemen from Michnice moved to the newly built Cuknštejn fortress at the end of the fifteenth century. The dominant features of the village are the building of the former school and the former Buquoy Court of the Philippines.
