Svátý Štěpán is a small village belonging to the town of Brumov-Bylnice, located approximately 3 kilometers from Vlárské Průsmyk, which is the border with Slovakia. St. Stephen was probably founded by the then owner of the estate, Count Štěpán Ilešházy, in 1815. The main sacred monument of St. Stephen is the chapel of St. Jan Nepomucký.
