The Chapel of St. Roch was built on a hill above the town of Zlaté Hory during the Thirty Years' War. In 1759, during the Prussian-Austrian War, it was set on fire during shelling and burned down. Another clash took place in 1779, when the Prussian army shelled the positions of the Austrian soldiers buried here. This battle, during which one cannonball also hit the chapel (it still hangs near the sacristy), is also commemorated by a mural on the bark.…
