Saint Liborius in Valašské Meziříčí
The location of the baroque statue of St. Liborius in the town better known as Valmez looks like a curiosity. In 1750, František Josef, Count of Žerotín, commissioned the statue from the well-known artist Ondřej Zahner, the material was Mladějovský sandstone, and the family coat of arms of the person who commissioned the work was placed in the statue's pedestal. Until then, there would be nothing so special about this sculpture - just like many others, it has become an ornament...
