Šumperk – central cross in the city cemetery

The sandstone cross in Šumper city cemetery dates from 1887 and is the largest cross in the city. The form of execution is quite traditional; the cross stands on a two-tiered plinth (the so-called plinth), on which is placed a - also two-tiered - prismatic plinth. From its back, we also learn that the manufacturer of this monument was Ernst Melnitzký's stone workshop in Olomouc.
