Šumice - Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary

A church and rectory existed in Šumice near Uherské Brod already at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries, the medieval church was probably just a simple chapel, of which nothing has survived. The village received a brick church only in 1861, the church tower was wooden. The church suffered during a storm in 1899, when the wooden tower was replaced by a brick one. The church remained in its original form until 1973, when after the installation of new towers...
