In the spring, Strejček's quarry is full of cornflower flowers

Every spring, thousands of flowers of the protected large-flowered cornflower bloom in Strejček's quarry. In 2000, 3 flowering clusters were counted here. This natural monument is located just a short distance from Olomouc between the villages of Grygov and Krčmaň. The now-abandoned quarry, in which limestone mining used to take place, is a nice tourist destination at any time of the year. But it is spring in Strejček's quarry...
