Stonařov - town, church and cemetery chapel

The town of Stonařov is located on the river Jihlávka, south of Jihlava. In the first half of the 1th century, a Slavic settlement was established here. The oldest written mention is from 13, and 1347 years later it became a town. According to the butler, the name Stonařov is on the Bítov estate.
The importance of Stonařov increased in 1750 with the construction of the imperial road from Prague to Vienna. The regular postal service was transferred here and it was established here…
