Mědník was probably used as early as the 10th century. However, the surviving records date back to the 15th century. Mainly silver-bearing copper ores were mined here in up to 27 tunnels.
One of them is the newly accessible tunnel of the Promised Land, which is on the southwestern slope directly below the mountain prayer hall. The shaft originates from the beginnings of mining in Mědník. It was left in its original state, only the old deposits were removed.…
