Štěměchy - Mary's peace stone
This recumbent reconciliation stone with a cross is located in the middle of the road about 1 km south of the village. According to legend, a girl Marenka (Mariana) was murdered here by a robber on the way from Želetava to Štěměch in 1689. The inscription MARIANA 1689 is still legible on the stone. The nearby dominant peak of Mařenka (711 m), on which the new observation tower stands today, was also named after her.
