The old Jewish cemetery used to be on the site of today's Municipal Gardens. It was founded in 1866, had an area of around 500 m2, and burials took place here until 1893. In 1924, the tombstones were knocked over and covered with earth. This area then became part of the city park. From 1893, they were buried in the new Jewish cemetery, which was on Ovčí vrch.
