The old hospital
The old hospital was built in 1692 at the request of the city by Prince Ferdinand of Dietrichstein. It was built as a hospital dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows for seven old poor women. He fulfilled his function for more than 250 years. In 1767, during a fire in the Great part of Přibyslav, the hospital burned down along with the church, tower, parsonage and nearby school. After the fire, it was rebuilt from the original double-gabled Gothic building...
