Old Town - Memorial to the victims

About 250 meters from the Town Hall in the Old Town in the direction of Uherské Hradiště stands the Memorial to the Victims of World War I at the entrance to the cemetery. It was built in 1923 to honor the memory of fellow citizens who fell for the Emperor. Several sculptures that decorate it are definitely worth paying attention to: from the memorial plaque with the names of the war victims to the left, a young mother in Slovak costume is kneeling in the company of a child, to the right is a soldier...
