The Pilsen Old Synagogue is located in Smetanovy Sady No. 5, but in the courtyard. Therefore, it cannot be seen from the street, it is hidden from public view.
 
The newly renovated synagogue is the oldest synagogue in Pilsen. It was built in 1858-1859 according to the design of architect Martin Stelzer. The twelve-meter-high building was built by the builder W. Wiesner on a rectangular floor plan of 20 x 14 meters.
