Statues of St. John of Nepomuk can certainly be found in every larger village in the country. To write about his life would be carrying firewood into the forest. Among other things, he is the patron saint of water people, oarsmen, millers, boatmen and many others. This is probably why his sculptures are often on bridges or near watercourses.
