The distinctive forested hill Skalka rises northeast of the village of Ochoz near Brno. It is one of the limestone plateaus in the southern part of the Moravian Karst PLA. The part of the valley here has a flat, level surface with the highest point at 478 m. At the trigonometric elevation, in places of overgrown oak moss with a number of shallow depressions and rocky outcrops, there is an important naturalistic site with an abundant occurrence of snowdrops.…
