The Rock Castle was built in the 14th century as the administrative center of the Michal family. At the beginning of the 15th century, the castle was owned by the Berks from Dubé. At the time of the Hussite Wars, the Berks made marauding forays into Lusatia from here. After the end of the Hussite Wars, the castle was abandoned and began to fall into disrepair.
