Široký Důl - church of St. John the Baptist

Široký Důl - a village about 3 km northwest of Polička. The peculiarity of the municipality is its name, it is the only one in the Czech Republic, no other municipality has that name. The oldest monument in the village is the Church of St. John the Baptist, whose history dates back to 1347. Another interesting feature of the village is a protected linden tree whose age is estimated at 400 years, its circumference is 4,7m. The KČT cycle route No. 4107 passes through the village.
