The Sedmihorky spa, the oldest hydrotherapy institute in Bohemia, was founded in 1841 by MUDr. Antonín Šlechta, an enthusiastic supporter of Vincenzo Priesnitz's hydrotherapy methods. Antonín Šlechta received his medical diploma in 1836 and immediately became a family doctor in the family of Count Desfours, the owner of the Hrubý Rohozec estate.
