Schachtenstein – the deepest excavation in Geopark Ralsko

Schachtenstein (372 m above sea level) is an inconspicuous small hill in the Ralská Pahorkatina. It is sometimes referred to as a subsidiary peak of Hamerské Špičák (452 m above sea level). Schachtenstein, Hamerský Špičák (also called Ostrý) and Děvín (426 m above sea level) are aligned in a straight line in the direction southwest - northeast and all three form a significant part of the natural monument Děvín and Ostrý.
