Sázavský monastery
The monastery, which was later rebuilt into a castle, located in the town with the river of the same name. The Sázava Monastery is considered a center of Slavic education. There have been mentions of the monastery since 1023, and in that year it was elevated to a Benedictine monastery. The founder Prokop tried to preserve the Cyril and Methodius tradition.
