The Rudoltice castle was built - as a representative four-story baroque building of the French type - by the Liechtenstein family in the years 1698 - 1712. It was located near the castle in the town of Lanškroun. Already in 1714 it burned down. After that, it was reconstructed, but immediately it suffered the same fate again and only part of it was preserved.
