Ruda u Rýmařov - Křížový vrch

In the past, the village of Ruda near Rýmařov was a mining settlement where iron ore was mined. In the middle of the 18th century, however, it also became a place of pilgrimage to the Virgin Mary of the Snows.
The pilgrimage temple with a copy of the image from the Roman Basilica of Our Lady of the Snows in the center of the village was created as a thank you to the mayor of Uničov, Jiří Greschenberger, for saving his life during a dangerous fall into a ravine in the local forest. About the high traffic…
