St. Catherine's Rotunda (Česká Třebová)

We leave the square over the bridge over the Třebovka river. On the left, on an elevated spot, the steeple of the chapel of St. Kateřiny, the only preserved Romanesque rotunda in Eastern Bohemia. The Rotunda, called "Kostelíček" by the locals, together with the wooden belfry form a dominant feature of the whole district. The romantic old cemetery and picturesque cottages, as if scattered over the rugged terrain, complete the unique color of the place.…
