Ronovec - ruins of a castle above the Břevnické stream

Not far from the village of Dolní Krupá, on the turnoff from the yellow sign, on the slope above the Břevnické stream, there are modest remains of Ronovce Castle, originally called Sommerburg. According to ceramics found in its collapsed walls during excavations in 1957-1960, it can be assumed that Ronovec Castle was built of stone around 1262 on the foundations of an older wooden castle, which burned down around the first half of the 13th century.
