In the vicinity of the Modrava (about 5 km west), the Rokytská slať nature reserve was declared in 1933 in an extensive peatland.
The reservation with an area of 104 ha occupied almost the entire peatland, which has an area of 142 ha. Peat resources here are estimated at 3 million cubic meters.
