The main signal for the renewal and reform of the church was already sent to the locals by the Kalisz during the Hussite wars, and soon after, the inhabitants of this Wallachian village, professing Lutheranism, secretly gathered for services.
Among the popular preachers, the charismatic Jan Maniš stood out. However, he was arrested and, after being imprisoned in Brno, sent to a forced stay in Hungary, where he eventually died.
