Rajhradice - monastery granary

When in 1674 the entire courtyard of the monastery in Rajhrad was reduced to ashes after a big fire, the extensive lands of the Benedictine monastery had to be used as temporary granaries. At the beginning of the 18th century, the reasonable frugality and prudent economy of the Rajhrad Benedictines benefited, so that in 1721 the complete reconstruction of the entire monastery could be started.
