The first mention of the village of Raduň, located near the town of Opava, located at the mouth of the Raduň valley on the course of the Raduňka stream, dates from 1320. The castle was built on the site of the former original medieval fortress, which belonged to the Tvorkovski family from Kravař since 1481.
