Prostějov-National House
The western facade of Vojáček Square is made up of the art nouveau building of the National House. One of the most beautiful buildings of the Czech Art Nouveau was built in 1905-07 according to the project of the architect Jan Kotěra, a professor at the UMPRUM in Prague. The impetus for the construction of the National House was given by the victory of the Czechs in the city council in 1892.
