This Neo-Renaissance villa on Orlický nábřeží, No. 376, was built in 1902-1903 for c. and k. high school professor Karel Wipler and his wife Leopoldina, b. Lichtenbergová, on the site of a former silk orchard, after which the neighboring villa got its name. The architect Václav Rejchl Sr. was the author of the design and implementation.
