Natural monument Tűně u Hajská
The pond U Hajské is a natural monument in the district of Strakonice, north of the village of Hajská, which is protected because of the ponds in the floodplain of the river Otava, where there is a habitat of the endangered plant, the mud beggar, and a number of amphibians that breed here. The ponds were created as a result of human mining in earlier times, when gold panning took place here in gravel sands deposited by the flow of the Otava River.
