Přerov - walls, statue of Neptune

The city walls of Přerov and the statue of Neptune below them. 
The ramparts surround Horní náměstí in a wide strip, several gates were part of them, but they are no longer standing today. The walls were reinforced with 10 half-cylindrical bastions with battlements, which are no longer visible. They were built of quarried stone and date from the 15th century and are the work of the Perštejn family, who then owned the Přerov estate.
