The Záskalská water reservoir is the only water reservoir used for recreation in the Brd area. It is located on the northern edge of the Brdy military district, near the ruins of Valdek Castle. The tank is max. 13,5 m deep and provides water for industrial use, and is also used for recreational swimming and fishing.
