Auschwitz Dam

Osvětimany Reservoir is located northwest of Osvětiman and about 10 km southeast of Koryčany. A blue tourist sign will also lead you to the dam. This reservoir is located on the southern edge of the Chřiby nature park and is hidden in the picturesque valley of the Klimentské stream. The dam with an area of ​​approx. 700 x 150m offers swimming, canoeing and fishing. The area of ​​the reservoir is approximately 10,5 ha. Fishermen have the opportunity to use freezer boxes in the recreation center. The beaches are located mainly on the left bank, along which the blue tourist route leads from Osvětiman to Koryčanská kapil. There is a snack stand above the embankment.
