Hope Dam

The Naděje dam is located about 6 km south of Varnsdorf, it lies in a deep wooded valley of the upper reaches of the Hamerské brook, about 1,5 km north of the Naděje settlement. Swimming is possible here, but there are no beaches on the shores and the water is often very cold even in summer. The dam allows swimming even under the dam. The water has an interesting bluish-green color in the summer. The forest road from Naděje leads around the dam to the U Jana junction, and on the steep slope of Suché vrch, not far from it, is the Ledová jeskyně. You can reach the Naděje dam by following the red tourist sign leading from Horní Světlá.
