Bedrichov Dam
The Bedřichov dam is located about 2 km north of Bedřichov. This water reservoir is also sometimes called the dam on the Black Nis, or the Bedřichovská dam. the dam is located in the forested valley of the Černá Nisa river and is the highest dam in Bohemia, it serves to protect against floods and adjust the flow in dry periods, today it also supplies three hydroelectric power plants and is also used for recreation and fishing. The water in the Bedřichovská dam is dark, colored brown by peat admixtures. Hiking and cycling routes lead to the dam, and cross-country trails maintained in winter.
