Prague - U Medvídků restaurant and brewery

The history of the U Medvídků house name and the brewing of beer goes back to the beginning of the 15th century, when it was named after the first owner, Jan Medvídků, who founded a brewery in 1446 that operated continuously until 1898. In these years, the owners of small breweries were no longer able to compete with the emerging industrial breweries. Therefore, the small breweries merged into one and founded the Měšťanský pivovar in Holešovice.…
