Antonín Čerych was one of the most enterprising and far-sighted entrepreneurs of his time. He was born on April 1, 1829 in Nechanice to the family of an impoverished miller, after whose death he was kicked out of his home by his stepmother when he was only 6 years old. Thanks to his uncle, who was first a chaplain in Poděbrady, he learned to be a butcher and right after that he went "wandering" to Vienna, from where he went to Hungary after a long time and passed through...
