Pomezná is the Czech name of the settlement Markhausen, which stood right on the border of Bohemia and Bavaria already around 1225. It was always a smaller village and originally belonged directly to Cheb, after the 2nd St. during the war it was annexed to the nearby Pomezí nad Ohří, but due to the fact that it stood almost directly on the border, after 1950 it was in the border zone, it was liquidated. Almost the only remains are the remains of the fortress…
