Podskalská customs office at Výtoni

The building of the former customs office in Výton, No. 412, on today's Rašín embankment, is next to the early Baroque originally parish church of St. Kosmy and Damián, the last surviving remnant of the ancient fishing settlement of Podskalí. The settlement of Podskalí existed since the end of the 12th century, and its inhabitants gradually gained a monopoly on the trade in wood that was brought here from the Vltava river.
