Pilsen - Božkov

Božkov was formerly an independent village east of Pilsen, on the banks of the Úslavy river. The name of the village is derived from the name of Bošek, who owned a manor here. The name Boškov was preserved until the 19th century.
The village was founded already in the Middle Ages. The first surviving written sources date from 1338. Already at that time, the village had a large triangular-shaped semi-detached house with large homesteads. The estates gradually became the property of Pilsen townspeople. R.…
