This dam is one of the most beautiful and oldest dams in the Czech Republic. It lies on the Doubrava river above the village of Pařížov in the picturesque region below the Iron Mountains.
The impetus for the construction of the dam was the large floods of 1885, 1888 and 1897, which were then among the largest on the Doubrava. Construction took place between 1908 and 1913. The water works were managed by the then Land Office. Currently, the work is managed and…
