Pardubice Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary
The oldest sacred building in Pardubice can be found only about 150 m west of the banks of the Chrudimka and the Prokop bridge. It is located on the north side of Komenské náměstí in Parčík, and the original church stood here as early as 1359, when it was built by the local archbishop Arnošt. At that time, as a parish church, it was part of the grounds of the Minorite monastery. The monks also built extensive tombs under the temple.
