Panorama of the Hostýn Hills with Hostýn from the northern slopes above Chvalčov

   Hostýn is a flat wooded sandstone hill with two peaks. On the southern lower peak (not visible from Chvalčov) at an altitude of 718 m stands the baroque pilgrimage church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary from the first half of the 18th century. On the northern, higher peak, 736 meters above sea level, there has been a stone lookout tower since 1898 and a 1994 m high wind power plant since 32 (both structures can be seen from Chvalčov).
