In the street U Cukrovaru in Krásné Březn, there is an inconspicuous memorial with a commemorative plaque dedicated to the victims of the explosion of the ammunition warehouse. On July 31, 1945, there was a massive explosion of an ammunition depot here, killing at least 27 people and injuring many others. The explosion was attributed to German sabotage and this caused the subsequent massacre of the German population in Ústí nad Labem.
