Memorial to the victims of the transport of death 1945
Right next to the cemetery wall at the church of St. Filip and Jakub in Žihli we can find a memorial to the victims of the death transports from April 17, 1945. 273 prisoners from several countries who succumbed to the inhumane hardships of the transports were buried at the site of the Memorial. The sad event is described on the plaque at the head of the monument. The place of worship can be reached from the main road passing through Žihlí along the blue-marked hiking trail.
