From Chomutov, I took a bus to Kalk, a mountain settlement near the state border on the ridge of the Ore Mountains. I started to climb towards the forest along cycle path No. 23. The views back to the repaired church, Kalek and the wooded ridge of the Ore Mountains were wonderful. The road follows the undulating terrain of the plateau.
