We can find a lot of evidence in our countryside that even the village population tried to make their homes similar to those of the wealthier classes. The brightest example is the peculiar South Bohemian Baroque, but also in other areas we can find various curlicues, colonnades, balustrades, attics, etc. on the houses. By this I do not mean modern Baroque in satellite towns around various metropolises, only time will evaluate their quality.
