Nový Jičín - A town in the lower Beskydy
The oldest written report about the city dates back to 1313, when King John of Luxembourg issued a document in favor of the city, which granted the city the right to collect customs and tolls. That is why Nový Jičín ties its creation to the date of granting this privilege. The founding document of the city has not been preserved.
